Description:
Small Business Innovation is a customer oriented, fast paced, and ever-changing team looking for a Business Development Intern who will perform bookkeeping, accounting, and financial analysis between multiple groups with respect to small business clients and the firm. This position will assist in developing financial statements and reports for our small business clients as well as internally. Financial support and research related to specific industries and clients will also be required. The intern will mainly work within Microsoft Excel, Access, and QuickBooks.
The incumbent will be able to work at least 16 hours per week but no more than 20 hours per week. We are flexible with scheduling. This is an unpaid internship that will be last from at the least 3 months until the end of the end of semester, with possibility for renewal.

Must show initiative, creativity, and ability to work independently
Strong analytical skills, good judgment and critical thinking skills

Ability to multi-task, to prioritize workload, to organize, and make decisions in a deadline sensitive environment
Demonstrated ability to anticipate outcomes and problem solve
Demonstrated ability to maintain proactive, flexible, inventive approach
Possess commitment to professionalism
Required Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
Working knowledge in Accounting Softwares (i.e. QuickBooks)
Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience is preferred but not required
Strong knowledge of Excel
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting excel spreadsheets for small business clients
Develop financial projections and inventory management system for small business clients
Provide weekly and monthly financial analyses and reporting pertaining to small business clients
Assist the firm with maintenance of internal financial data and reports
